'Twas much, that man was made like God before,
But, that God should be made like man, much more.

John Donne, Holy Sonnet XV
Fiction:
Arsenic for Tea and First Class Murder by Robin Stevens. Both light, enjoyable reads, though I think I slightly preferred the former. I think the best thing about this series for me is the characters, but I'm enjoying the mystery elements too.

Sarah, Plain and Tall by Patricia MacLachlan. Very short, simple story, but enjoyable.

Indigo's Star by Hilary McKay. This was a re-read, reminding me how much I love this series.

Alice-Miranda at Sea by Jacqueline Harvey. This is a series I've been enjoying quite a bit lately. I think this was possible the silliest book yet (I've read up to number seven), but it was also one of the most fun. Anyway, I liked it a lot.

The Last Duchess by Laura Powell. I quite enjoyed this although it wasn't quite what I was expecting. I'm not sure whether I plan to continue with the series. (Anyway it's a while until the next one comes out.)

The Silent Shore by Ruth Elwin Harris. Like Indigo's Star I'd read this twice before; I'm not sure I enjoyed it quite as much as on previous reads but it was still a very good read.

The Draycott Murder Mystery by Molly Thynne. I enjoyed this a lot; I thought the mystery was very intriguing.

A Question of Inheritance by Elizabeth Edmondson. I found this harder to follow than the previous two books in the series, although I'm not sure if that was due to the book or that I just wasn't paying enough attention. I did enjoy it a lot though, and look forward to the next (and final) book later this year.

Room by Emma Donoghue. Different to what I usually read, but I found this a compelling read.

Non-Fiction:
I Am With You by Kathryn Greene-McCreight. I've been reading this over such a long period of time that it's difficult to know what to say about it, but it was very good.

Poetry:
The Watchman and Other Poems by L.M. Montgomery. Enjoyed this overall, there were some poems I liked a lot.
Poems by the Bronte Sisters by Charlotte, Emily and Anne Bronte. Same as above. I prefer Anne's poems overall, though I suspect Charlotte's and Emily's are technically better. I found Anne's more relatable.
